What window tint is legal in Texas?

Texas requires front side windows to read 25% VLT or lighter (glass and film together). Windshield tint is limited to the strip above the AS-1 line unless you have a signed medical exemption in the vehicle. Behind the driver, sedans, SUVs, and trucks can go darker. Reflectivity is capped at 25%, and red, amber, and blue film is not allowed. We measure your factory glass before we recommend a shade. How long does an install take?

Automotive film is installed at the shop on Georgibelle Drive. We’ll tell you how long your specific vehicle needs when we quote it, and we’ll book a time during shop hours: Monday–Friday 9–5 and Saturday 9–2. Home and commercial film is installed on site, and the visit length depends on how much glass there is.

What’s the difference between ceramic, carbon, and dyed tint?

Dyed film is mostly a dark color. Carbon film holds its color better than dye but still doesn’t reject much heat. Ceramic film uses a non-metal layer that cuts infrared heat and up to 99% of UV without blocking phone, GPS, or key-fob signal, and it doesn’t turn purple. What warranty do I get?

3M’s manufacturer warranty on automotive window film covers bubbling, cracking, peeling, and color change. Paint protection film carries a multi-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, cracking, and peeling. Architectural film is warranted against bubbling, cracking, peeling, and discoloration.
